Frequently Asked Questions

The best way to RSVP is right here on the website! Just a couple of quick clicks and you are done, no stamps needed!

We would love to have your RSVP before March 22nd 2022!

It will depend on which country you’re flying from and the airlines schedules, but to accommodate for potential jet-lag, we recommend you arrive at least 24h to 48h before our wedding day. You’ll likely want to spend a week (or more!) in total to take in all the sights that Guadeloupe has to offer.

We have a discount code for La Créole Beach Hôtel which can be used for bookings between the 12th and the 31st of July 2022. More information here!

Guadeloupe has a tropical climate with high humidity and pleasant warm temperatures, tempered by the trade winds. In the month of July, temperatures reach an average high of 28.7°C (83.7°F) and an average low of 27.2°C (81°F).

July is part of the wet season that lasts from June to November : rain showers are often sudden and strong (and stop as quickly as they appear). Make sure to bring a rain jacket if you’re planning on hiking around the islands!

All year round, the sea water temperature makes it the perfect spot for water based activities. The average water temperature is 28.7°C (83.7°F) in July. 🏝

There are lots of options! If you are staying at La Créole Beach Hotel, there is a variety of excursions to choose from. You can also, of course, explore on your own. We’ve created a page listing some activities ideas here

We recommend you arrive 15 to 30mn before the ceremony time printed on your invitations!

We are opting for a Beach Semi-formal dress code! It will likely be warm so you should look for lightweight fabrics that will breathe in the Caribbean heat and flow in the breeze. This will help you stay cool and ready to dance the night away. Keep in mind that the ceremony will take place overlooking the beach, but will not be on the sand.

Confused about what Beach Semi-formal is? We were too, so we looked up some examples:

Tips from the World Wide Web:

Men

Slacks and a button-down shirt are great, but you can forego the tie! A breathable sport coat or unique blazer can be a fun addition but wear whatever you feel comfortable in, keeping in mind it will be warm! We’d just ask that you leave the shorts and sandals behind so they are ready for the next beach day.

Women

Think breathable fabric, and touches of tropical elements if you feel like it! Whether it’s a breezy maxi-dress, a cocktail dress, a formal romper, or a palm print jumpsuit, semi-formal beach attire can be a fun way to showcase your personality and rock some warm-weather favourites!

Still confused? The most important thing is that you’re comfortable, just not “ready to jump in the ocean” comfy. 😊

Weather permitting, the ceremony will take place in the tropical garden of La Créole Beach Hôtel. The cocktail hour and the reception will be held under covered terrasses on the oceanfront, with the beach a few feet away.

We created a page just for that! You can find more information here.

Yes, there should be plenty of room for parking in and around La Créole Beach Hôtel.

You will find more information about our wedding day events over here!

There is a vegan option for anyone who doesn’t eat meat or fish, but for any other restrictions please make sure to fill this in on the RSVP form!

Yes, there will be an open bar during the cocktail hour and the after-dinner party. The open-bar will have a selection of Ti-Punch, Planteur, Whisky, Martini, Old Rum, Sodas, Fruit Juice Cocktails and waters. Wine and champagne will be served during the dinner and wedding cake cutting.

We ask that you do not take any photos during the actual ceremony (during the rest of the day it’s totally fine!). If you look closely at the photos below, you’ll understand why 😊 We want to see your smiley faces, not your phones!

If you’d like to post pictures on social media, our only request is that you tag each photo with our wedding hashtag #jordaneandbrock so we make sure we don’t miss any of your pictures! 🤩

The reception dinner will last up until 11:00pm and after the first dance and the wedding cake cutting, yes, we’ll party on the dance floor up until 3:00am! More information here.

The venue, restaurants and likely your airline will all require proof of vaccination against Covid-19 as well as enforce health and safety measures, so we are also requesting that anyone joining our wedding celebration is fully vaccinated.

Fax us! Just kidding, drop us a text or call (info at the bottom of the page).
